Mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught is making her NI debut at St Columb's Hall

Opera buffs are being alerted to get ready for the concert of the year in the Maiden City.

 

Le Foyer des Artistes, the acclaimed international orchestra, is set to return to its beloved home at St Columb's Hall for the highly anticipated Midwinter Gala Christmas Concert on Thursday, 4 December 2025.

Founded by Darren Hargan, the ensemble has an annual residency of concerts at St Columb’s Hall and projects and partnerships locally, nationally and internationally.

The organisation is driven by the belief in authentic cultural engagement, offering professional development and educational opportunities to emerging artists from Ireland, the UK, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

In a night of unforgettable baroque brilliance audiences will be transported back to the golden age of music as Le Foyer des Artistes performs a magnificent program featuring great baroque classics.

Committed to authenticity and period performance, the ensemble will play on period baroque instruments, delivering a sound rich in historical texture and vibrant energy.

The Midwinter Gala promises to be an evening of dazzling artistry and profound musical expression, perfectly setting the stage for the festive season.

The highlight of the gala will be the debut performance in Northern Ireland by the globally-renowned mezzo-soprano, Tara Erraught.

Fresh from commanding stages at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Opéra de Paris and the Bavarian State
Opera, Erraught's rich, expressive voice and stunning stage presence will undoubtedly make this one of the most memorable musical events of the year.
